These photos represent a side of Brooklyn not seen by many. Taken within 2 blocks of the home I've lived in for 22 years these photos represent aspiration and a ''the sky is the limit'' mentality. By depicting these blue skys in black and white I sought out to remove the distraction of color, something I picked up from reading the writing of artist Ad Reinhardt, and bring forth what I feel is the true beauty of these naturally occurring forms that are clouds. Their effortless beauty is what inspires me daily; free and formless they exist and exude non-conformity, and an inherent beauty that cannot be forced, molded, or percieved as artificial.
